CONSTANTA CAZ 2
31 October,2008
“Antropocity”
Multimedia project
“CONSTANTA CAZ is a project that proposes the extension of the cultural territory by organizing visual arts events in unconventional locations. This approach is a response to the fact that the “classical” space for exhibitions in Constanta is extremely restricted. On the other hand, the unconventional spaces , post-industrial and post-military buildings houses left to decay or unfinished, represent a special challenge meant to stimulate the creative approach. The term ANTROPOCITY, the theme of the second edition of CONSTANTA CAZ, is made up of the Greek term “antropos”- which refers to human beings and “city”. We are to deal especially with the human condition of people who inhabit cities. There will be admitted installations, painting, photo, video, performance.”
2005 - DUPPINI, BULGARIA
International Symposium “Traces – Projections” 19th – 28th August 2005
The subject of the project TRACES – PROJECTIONS arose with the specific image of the beech trees of Tryavna mountain, Bilkinite neighbourhood.
On the stems of the venerable beech there are traces of all types of inscriptions, signs and symbols left by occasional passengers or local people. While growing the trees have shaped up, woven and changed these scars, “corrected” with the time, now becoming aesthetic and overcoming the initial impression of healing wounds. This way of sharing thoughts has remained the only evidence of the people in these places once bubbling with life.
